Why Reverse Engineering Will Be The Hero Of Your Business.
If I had a sticky note for every time a business owner said, "I just want to make more money," I could wallpaper my entire office.
Don’t get me wrong — revenue goals matter.
But “make more income” or “get more clients” is like typing “somewhere nice” into Google Maps and expecting it to guide you to your dream destination.
It’s just too vague.
You wouldn’t expect to arrive at a dream vacation spot without knowing the name of the city, the route to get there, or what bags to pack…
Yet that’s exactly how so many people approach planning their businesses for the year ahead.
And trust me, I’ve been there.
So what’s the real work you can’t skip out on?
Getting radically clear on what you actually want.
→ Not what the gurus say you should want.
→ Not what everyone else is chasing.
→ Not a business that hits all the milestones but feels like a straitjacket.
I mean what you want.
Reverse Engineering Starts with Vision
Before we can plan a funnel or launch or visibility strategy, we need to ask:
What do I want my business to give me this year?
Is it consistent $5K months without being glued to your phone 24/7?
Is it the freedom to take Fridays off and still know your offers are selling?
Is it the satisfaction of helping people with work you actually love?
If you don’t know your version of success, you’re going to end up building someone else’s, and feeling frustrated when it doesn’t fit.
Get Specific (Like, Really Specific)
Here’s what I ask my clients behind the scenes when we plan their growth:
What do you want your days to look like?
How many clients or sales would feel doable and exciting?
What kind of marketing do you actually enjoy?
What revenue number feels both stretchy and real?
How much time do you really have to work?
Once we have those answers? We reverse engineer a strategy to support that life, not just a sales number.
Without a Clear Destination, Even the Best Strategy Will Fall Flat
Strategy only works if it’s built around your version of success, not a carbon copy of someone else’s path. So what’s your next step?
📓 Grab a notebook.
☕️ Make your favorite drink.
And write this at the top of the page:
What do I want my business to do for me in the next 12 months?
Start there. Because when the vision is clear, the path becomes so much easier to create.
And if you want help mapping out your next best steps, consider booking a strategy call with me. It could help you get the clarity you need to stop wishing, and actually start building a business that works for you.
